The Letchworth Beer & World Food Festival
The fourth Letchworth Beer & World Food Festival returned to the town during the last weekend in September. The festival saw the town come alive with a variety of local and exotic beers, world foods from Thai to Ghanaian, live music, beer pong, apple pressing, children’s activities and much more.
Mouth-watering Mayhem
Visitors to Garden Square could also enjoy a feast of fun by way of the culinary delights of The Wacky Waiters; whose mouth-watering mayhem combined silent comedy and graceful slapstick.
The comedy duo commenced with plate flipping and napkin sculpting, followed by singing and dancing routines – all to a rousing soundtrack of classic tunes. The waiters evoked the genius of Morecambe and Wise and conjured adolescent admiration with their hilarious boyband homage.
Social media followers took to Garden Square’s Facebook page to enthuse about the performances:
Lynne Elliot: “I have to say these are some of the best street entertainers I have seen.”
Samantha Gentle: “Thank you. The guys were brilliant – had us all laughing. Made our day.”
“These two were brilliant.”Victoria Anne Marie Young
